clothing

Children's clothing occupies a large proportion in export products, mainly exported to developed countries and regions such as the United States, Japan and the European Union.

Compared with adults, children lack the ability to identify potential dangers on the one hand; on the other hand, children are at the stage of growth and development, both skin and other organs are more sensitive than adults, susceptible to all kinds of harmful substances.

Therefore, all countries in the world, especially the developed countries in Europe and the United States, attach great importance to the quality and safety of children's clothing.

From the first half of this year's exports, there were more than 100 reports of unqualified children's clothing products in China. Excessive content of harmful substances, potential hazards of rope and small parts were the main reasons for the failure of children's clothing.

Therefore, domestic children's clothing export enterprises should deeply understand and understand the safety requirements of machinery for children's clothing, strictly control the procurement of face accessories, clothing design and production, constantly improve the quality and safety level of products, and enhance the competitiveness of the international market.

Procurement of good accessories

Children's clothing is not a diminished version of adult clothing, but a second layer of skin for children.

Therefore, the procurement of safe surface and auxiliary materials is particularly important.

The internal inspection indexes of the purchased flour and accessories must be qualified, otherwise the quality of the children's garments will not be qualified.

There are six common indicators for the export of children's clothing:

PH value: generally between 4.0~7.5, pH value exceeding standard textiles are not only easy to be damaged under strong acidic or alkaline conditions, but also irritate the skin, cause skin allergies and other discomfort, and do more harm to young children.

Formaldehyde: essential finishing part in textile processing, formaldehyde is usually contained in resins or other auxiliaries.

The national standard of our country stipulates that the formaldehyde content of infant products (Class A) must be less than or equal to 20mg/kg. The European Union countries such as France and Norway require that the formaldehyde content of infant textiles must be less than or equal to 30mg/kg, while Japanese No. 112 decree (1973) stipulates that the formaldehyde content of infants and young children under 2 years of age must be less than or equal to 20mg/kg.

Azo dyes: azo dyes can restore aromatic amine which has carcinogenic effect on human body under certain conditions, and activate the DNA structure of human body, causing human diseases and inducing carcinogenesis.

Therefore, it is strictly prohibited to use on garment fabrics.

Flame retardancy: some coated fabrics or plush fabrics are combustible, burning too fast or melting after burning, which can cause burns, scalds and even life-threatening.

According to different age groups, Canada has developed a special dangerous products (child pajamas) Ordinance (SOR/87-443), the United States also has children's pajamas burning regulations 16CFR Part 1615, 16CFR Part 1616.

Heavy metals: once absorbed by heavy metals, heavy metals accumulate in the liver, bones, kidneys, heart and brain of the human body, causing great damage to health.

The lead content of children's products issued by the US CPSC stipulates that the lead content of children's products manufactured and sold on the market must comply with the 100ppm limit.

EU pairs

Clothes & Accessories

Nickel and its compounds in some decorations and decorations are limited, and the amount of nickel released from metal products directly or for long term is less than 0.5g/cm.

Plasticizer: excessive plasticizer is likely to affect children's health.

First, children's metabolism is relatively strong, clothing directly contact with the skin, harmful substances are easily absorbed through the skin; second, children sometimes licking, biting, sucking their clothes and clothes adornment, buttons, accessories, etc., if these accessories or clothes printed flowers contain plasticizers, children may be exposed through mouth contact intake.

Good product design

Due to the unreasonable design, the rope and small parts of children's clothing exported in recent years are potentially dangerous. The recall and notification incidents happen frequently, affecting the reputation of "made in China".

Therefore, the design of export children's clothing should take full account of the products may cause ischemic injury to children, such as clamping accidents, sharp objects injuries, detachable parts, injuries, injuries, injuries, injuries, injuries, injuries, injuries, injuries, trauma, hearing loss, obstruction, infarction, stumbling and falling.

The potential hazards caused by design are mainly manifested in: first, unreasonable structural design.

The United States "safety regulations for children's coats" and "guide for tightening belts for children's jackets" put forward specific requirements for rope.

The EU EN14682-2007 regulations stipulate that the hat and collar of young children's clothing should not have drawstring, decorative rope and functional rope, sewing or other fixed decoration, free ends should not exceed 75mm, any girth should not exceed 75mm, and the length of the rope must not exceed 14cm.

Two is the decoration and accessories pulling force does not meet the requirements.

Sewing fasteners such as buttons, rivets, rope ends (such as plastic Bell), labels and other decorations are not up to the required tensile requirements. These decorations are both the selling point of clothing and the chief culprit of various accidents, because children are curious about small objects, they will tear and gnaw these attachments, and may choke and suffocate after they fall off.

Quality control of production links

In March 15, 2011, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Matilda Jane LLC jointly announced the voluntary recall of Chinese children's skirts.

The reason for the recall is that the buttons of the child's skirt are easy to fall off, and if children are put into the mouth, it can cause suffocation.

At present, Matilda Jane LLC has received a report of a clasp falling off, and no injuries have yet been reported.

In the production process, the children's clothing enterprises in China must fix the accessories such as accessories for children's clothing. The flashing decorative pieces, beads and other similar accessories on children's clothing under 3 years old should not be sewn by hand. When sewing machine, each piece should be stitched at least 3 needles to ensure a certain stitch density.

In order to choose suitable fastener, such as knitted garments, column fastener should be avoided, and its type should match the compression thickness of the fabric.

If it is computerized embroidery, cotton lining should be added on the back of embroidery, otherwise it will scratch the immature skin of the child because of the hard feeling on the back of the embroidery pattern.

In the process of printing and washing water, which is easy to cause two pollution, we should arrange full-time quality control personnel to check and control.

In the production process, we must strictly control the broken and residual needles because the broken and residual needles are in the process of production.

Children's wear

The residue will cause harm to children's immature skin.
