Recently, Louis Weedon, the parent company of luxury brand, was accused by LVMH. But Louis Weedon, an American toy entertainment company, dragged Louis Weedon into the lawsuit, and the fuse of the lawsuit was an indescribable design product.

The source of this lawsuit is a "LV" style "convenient" bag.

According to a document submitted by the federal court of Losangeles in the United States, Louis Weedon claimed before that the design of the toy bag infringed the trademark rights of his own brand.

But MGA retorts that this toy is not only an imitation of the LV package, but rather a spoof for the way the rich consume, and the right to do this work should be protected.

"LV brands represent expensive, high-end, luxury goods, and most of the fans are rich celebrities," MGA's lawyer said in a petition.

"Selling this series of products called" magic Unicorn stool "is exactly the purpose of conspicuous consumption of famous celebrities, and the LV brand is also a symbol of this way of consumption.

The toy belongs to MGA's PoopsieSurprise series. Its appearance is a "toilet" box with LV logo, which contains various materials for making "unicorn toilet" mud.

According to the filed litigation record, this toy is one of the most popular products of MGA last year.

In the case of "funny" lawsuits, MGA believes that it is impossible for ordinary consumers to confuse their products with the LV brand, and try to "seriously analyze" the difference between the two: "LV handbag is not this shape, nor is it made of solidified plastic, nor does it have a three-dimensional cartoon like eyelash and lips. The inside of the LV bag has no clay material; the retail price of the" convenience "series is $59.99, and the price of the LV package as a luxury item is obviously higher than that of the former.

MGA also pointed out that Louis Weedon has "a history of not respecting the right of American" irony imitation ", such as the prosecution of other ironic products.

In 2014, LV filed a lawsuit against a small handbag company in Losangeles on the grounds that the latter "printed its brand logo on its canvas bag" and prosecuted another pet toy company. The reason for the lawsuit was "the shape of a chewing toy in this company, mimicking LV's wallet and high-heeled shoes."

However, LV was defeated in all two cases.

Judge PaulV.Niemeyer, who is responsible for chewing the Vuitton case, wrote in the trial: "this furry pet toy is used to chew dogs, and is designed to satirize the elegance and high cost of LV handbags, which are obviously different from the functions of the former."

MGA has opened the market with many fancy toys on the ground, but at the same time, it is not an "oil saving lamp". Besides litigation with LV, MGA is also involved in a lawsuit against another brand "design infringement".

At present, MGA and Louis Weedon have not yet responded to the case immediately.
